Hi! My name is Alison Grashof, and I’m so excited to be teaching Pre-Kindergarten this year!

I have been with Chinook’s Edge School Division working as a teacher on call for the past five years. During this time, I’ve gained experience teaching all grades from Kindergarten to high school. I have to say, these little learners hold a special place in my heart. I have taught at John Wilson as a substitute teacher and am thrilled to have my own classroom here this year. I’m a mom of three little kids, ages 6, 4, and 2. One of my children attended Pre-Kindergarten here, so it feels extra special to be the one teaching this program. I have a lot of experience supporting young children in their speech and language development and plan to bring this with me into the classroom. I am very passionate about learning through play and I plan to base everything we’re learning about around play. There will be lots of games, music, singing, and movement in our day! When children are having fun, it unlocks their full potential to learn about the world around them.

When I’m not teaching you will find me with my nose always in a book, drinking a good cup of coffee, tending my oversized vegetable garden, cooking healthy meals and spending quality time with my beautiful family. I am beyond happy to be at John Wilson this year, and I can’t wait to get to know you and your child.
