'Tis the Season for Christmas Fun

ÉJWES will be collecting for the Christmas Bureau again this year!

Donations will be collected from November 12th until November 28st at the school.

Items needed for boys and girls ages 0-18 include toys, games, puzzles, toques, mitts, socks, crafts, and stuffies. Puzzles and games that are good for the whole family are appreciated.

Candy Cane Sales run from Monday, December 2nd to Friday, December 6th.

Candy Canes are $1 each and can be purchased for any student at ÉJWES.

Money raised goes towards are toast program.

Dear John Wilson Families, 

We are going to have a little fun again this year with our school food collection!

Our classes are being challenged to complete the attached BINGO card with some of  the most needed items for a Christmas hamper. If a class gets a blackout, all of the students in that class will have their names placed in a draw for a chance to win a class pizza party in January. There will be one draw for each grade level. Thanks to our ÉJWES School Council for providing the pizzas! Food items not on the list will also be accepted!

40 Winks till Christmas

The most wonderful time of the year is almost here…Christmas Concert season!! Students in Grades 1-4 have already started preparing for the performances! With so many family members and friends joining us for the concerts, we will have two evening of concerts.

Tuesday, December 10th @ 6:30pm - Gette, Linton, Freschette, Nelson & Lastiwka, Ramsell, Stang and Hollman.

Wednesday, December 11th @ 6:30pm - Layden, Crebas, O'Neill, Weiss, Schaitel, Brown and Sparrow.

Please note the following important items:

• Entrance to the school on concert evenings will be through the doors at Innisfail Middle School

• 6:10pm- The main doors at Innisfail Middle School will open to drop students off at their classrooms

• 6:15pm- Gym 4 doors will open for seating

We will be collecting donations for the Innisfail Food Bank as our admission to the concerts. Items of need include: dry and canned goods, baking ingredients, detergents, shampoo/conditioner and there will be a cash donation box.

One of our favorite traditions at John Wilson is our Christmas Guest Readers!

On Tuesday, December 17th, special guests will be visiting our classes and reading their

favorite stories to our students. Students also get a special treat after story time!

Wednesday, December 18th the Grade 4's are invited to show their spirit, Grinch style!

Friday December 20th is PJ Day!

Students will also be caroling in their classes, singing some of their favorite songs!

Christmas Break will begin on December 21st. Classes will resume on January 6th, 2024 at 8:30am.
